Should believers get tatted? There are many different views and it is a topic not clearly defined in the Bible. Yes, Leviticus 19:28 says “do not mark your skin with tattoos.” However, this verse is often taken out of context. It is meant to specifically address pagan rituals that were happening around the Israelites. Therefore, there is no Biblical rule against tattoos for Christians.
But don’t go crazy.
If you are a Christian, there are a few things you should consider.
1. Will the tattoo you want give glory to God? Or is it just to draw attention to yourself? (get it, draw?…..ahahah)
2. Will your tattoo cause others to lose faith?
3. Would you be dishonoring your family by getting it?
After reviewing these points carefully and going through a season of prayer, your convictions may lead you to get a tattoo. So be it. Peace and Holllla!
